Healthy cakes are something that many people could only dream of. However, they’re becoming more and more of a reality as people discover what things can help to make up a healthy cake. With that in mind, here are a few of the things that you should know to help you create your own healthy cakes.

First of all, cut down on sugar and sweeteners besides those that you’re used to. Let’s face it, we like sweet stuff-naturally. But, so many things have way too much sweetness to it. With that in mind, go ahead and try to use fruit and the likes to add natural sweetness, with much less sugar and other artificial sweeteners. Next, check into a different type of flour. Instead, you could choose whole wheat flour or something like that. Also, instead of oil, you can also use pureed fruit. Just make sure that you don’t take it out of canned syrup or the like. And, make sure that it’s a fruit compatible to the cake.

Food is our body’s fuel and choosing the right food to fuel your body can be challenging. If you are not accustomed to reading labels, this is the first step in realizing and learning what it is you have been fueling your body with. It is more than reading the percentages of the various vitamins however, you have to read the ingredients. If you find words that sound like chemicals then more than likely they are chemicals and additives of some kind. Real food comes from nature, such as animals and plants, but not just any animal or plant will do. Animals raised for consumption in today’s society are fed growth hormones and grains. Ideally, your meat should come from animals that are pasture raised and graze on grass instead of being fed supplements. Crops should not be sprayed with chemicals or have preservatives added during packaging to extend shelf life.

People in the Paleolithic era did not understand or know how their bodies used the foods they ate for fuel and nutrition. They basically ate to survive. They ate what they found, hunted and gathered. The basis of the Paleo diet is the hunter gatherer diet. Today we have a great deal of knowledge of nutrition and how one component of our diet may interact with another component. Paleo Diet Recipes have ingredients similar to those of our ancestors. Meat and eggs, fruits and vegetables are main components of the Paleo diet. These provide nutrients, minerals and vitamins that our bodies need. Grains and legumes contain anti-nutrients that remove nutrients and this is why grains and legumes are not part of the Paleo diet. This diet does not include pasteurized dairy products. If you are worried about calcium you can get calcium from dark, leafy green vegetables and nuts.

Summer’s pretty much officially over, but the late September sunshine is still carrying on regardless, so why not take advantage of it with some last minute picnics? Turkey recipes are a great addition to any picnic. As well as being low in fat and high in protein turkey is also a wonderful light meat that goes well with any picnic.

Turkey recipes for picnics can vary from the simple, straightforward turkey sandwich, to more complex turkey salads or even some homemade turkey burgers if you fancy getting the barbecue out, or turkey enchiladas if you fancy something a bit more exotic.

Combined with some green salad and cherry tomatoes these are all great turkey recipes to base your picnic around, so you can enjoy some tasty treats while enjoying the last of the summer sun. Then, when it’s over, you can make yourself a delicious roast turkey dinner to keep yourself warm on the winter nights!

There are so many different juicers. However, of all the different juicer models, the masticating juicer shines. This is because of its functionality. The other juicer models are versatile when it comes to producing juice of all sorts, but it does not give you the ability to do other than that.

The masticating juicer, although it is more expensive (prepare $300 – $600), it is the real deal. Not only does it produce juices from the hardest to the softest produce to the most difficult to squeeze leafy greens (all kinds of juice recipes, believe me); but it can make other foods as well. If you have a baby, say goodbye to buying factory made food for your child and start making your very own baby food with the masticating juicer. You can also make nut butter and soft ice cream here. The more expensive ones can even process pasta.

chocolate cake is one of my favorite desserts. There is this one chocolate cake recipe that is not appealing to my taste. It uses 1 pkg. yellow cake mix, 2 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 1/4 tsp. ground ginger, 1/4 tsp. ground cloves, 2 eggs, 1/4 c. water, 1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin, 1 (16 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips. I did not enjoy this recipe because I feel that the spices were too overpowering. The chocolate taste was masked so I did not enjoy it much. The glaze which is a mixture of cinnamon milk and powdered sugar did not complement the cake either. That’s why it is very critical to follow the recipes to the core mainly because if the recipe asks for 1 egg, you can’t put 2 eggs or 1/2 egg mainly because the recipe won’t taste good without the right proportion of the ingredients.
